Drop off Tapes
Bring your tapes to our local drop-off location or ship them securely to us. We’ll confirm your order and handle everything from there.

Each tape is carefully inspected, and converted using reliable, high-quality capture equipment to ensure a successful transfer.

You will receive your videos on a USB drive and/or through a private digital download link which is ready to watch, share, and store safely.

How does this work?
Start by filling out the quote form. Once I review your info, I’ll send you a custom quote and we’ll arrange a drop-off or mail-in. I’ll inspect your tapes, let you know if any need cleaning, and transfer them into digital MP4 files. You’ll get your finished videos on a USB drive and/or through a secure digital download.
What formats do you work with?
Right now, I transfer standard VHS and VHS-C, Hi-8, Digital8 and audio cassette tapes.

What if my tape looks moldy or dusty?
Bring it by. If a tape shows visible mildew or dust buildup, it needs to be cleaned before it can safely play. I’ll always let you know first — the cleaning is totally optional and costs an additional $15 per tape.
How long does it take?
Most projects are completed within about 7–10 days of receiving your tapes, depending on how many you send and their condition.
If I have time, it can be sooner :)
Can you restore or enhance footage?
Right now, I focus on clean, accurate transfers that preserve the original look and feel of your videos. Full restoration and 4K upscaling require specialized equipment and advanced AI tools — the technology exists, and it’s impressive, but it’s also expensive and not always necessary for home recordings. I plan to invest in that capability in the future, but for now, my priority is safe, reliable transfers that look true to the original.If you’re interested in full digital restoration, I can recommend trusted companies that specialize in it.
How do I get my videos?
You’ll receive your original tapes back along with a USB drive containing your digital files. If you prefer cloud delivery, I can provide a download link instead.
Can I just Stop By?
I run Jersey Shore Tape Rescue out of my home studio, so I don’t take walk-ins. All drop-offs are by appointment only to make sure your tapes are handled safely and privately. Once you request a quote, I’ll reach out to schedule a convenient time and share the location details.
Mold Mildew or Damaged Tapes?
Most home video converting services will tell you that your tapes are unable to be converted- however, some need to be cleaned. We offer this service!

Tape Conversion – $20
Careful, real-time transfers. No batch automation, no shortcuts.
Volume discounts may be available for large projects.
Damaged or Moldy Tape Restoration – $15
Some of these tapes are 20+ years old. Stuff happens.
For tapes with light to moderate damage, debris, or surface mold that can be safely cleaned and transferred in-house.If a tape is too far gone and needs a professional lab, I’ll let you know before anything moves forward.
USB Delivery – ~$10-25
Up to 32 GB — $10
Up to 64 GB — $15
Up to 128 GB — $25Final USB size and cost are confirmed after inspection and transfer.
(Optional) Cloud Storage
One price for the entire project, not per tape:3 months — $56 months — $1012 months — $15Private access, easy streaming and downloads, shareable with family.
